Adult Basketball Leagues
The City of Ojai Recreation Department is pleased to offer a fun and competitive adult basketball league. League play is held during the winter months. All teams are guaranteed to play nine (9) games plus a playoff game. Advancing teams will move on to the championship.
This is a fun and competitive program for adults (16+) to recreate. Games are primarily on Sunday evenings in the Recreation Department’s gymnasium (John G. Martin Gymnasium) and oftentimes, are held at Matilija Junior High or other School facilities within the Ojai Valley. Registration is now available!
League fees
League fees per team are $250. A team may be registered with a $100 deposit. The remaining $150 must be paid to the Department’s office prior to the first scheduled game. A fee of thirty dollars ($30) per team, is to be paid to the officials prior to the beginning of each scheduled game.

Free Agent List
Looking to play in the league but don't have a full team? Please contact the Recreation Department to be added to the free agent list. Oftentimes, there are teams in need of players and we can connect you to the team manager. When calling to be added to the free agent list, please have your name, age, best contact number, and skill level handy.

Drop-In Basketball
Looking to play basketball but can't make the time commitment to join a league? Our Adult Drop-in program offers a great way for you to play, meet new friends, and stay active!
Each drop-in session has a small fee of $3.00. Fees are paid to the gym attendant and may be paid by cash or check. The drop-in program is currently held on Tuesday evenings (6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) at the John G. Martin gymnasium at Sarzotti Park.
