Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities – Make an impact in your community!

Opportunities to volunteer with The Parks and Recreation are available for those 14 years of age or older. Individuals and groups can help on a one day project or assist on an ongoing basis. Volunteers can assist with operations, recreation classes, youth sports, aquatics, and seniors programs.

Applications – All volunteers and interns are required to complete an application. Applications for internships and volunteer opportunities are reviewed on an as-needed basis by the various City departments. Submitting an application is not a guarantee of placement. Applications for volunteer opportunities and internships will be kept on file for six months. If you have not been placed in a volunteer position or internship within six months, your application will be purged from the system. Please be aware, submitting multiple applications does not increase your chance for placement.

To obtain a volunteer application, please stop by the Recreation Department Office or  please give us a call at (805) 646-5581 ext. 390.
